The 2011 edition of the Belgian Dutch German summer school (BND 2011) will take place from Monday, the 19th of September to Friday, the 30th of September in Hoenderloo, Gelderland, in the Netherlands.
The school is intended primarily for experimental high energy physicists preparing a PhD in particle physics, in particular during their first two years. The lectures cover both theoretical and experimental aspects of the field. The focus of the school alternates every year between electroweak standard model physics and strong interaction physics. This year is devoted to electroweak physics with special focus on the start of LHC experiment at CERN.
In the student sessions students will be expected to present the results from their project.
